Not strictly on the Garden Route, Port Elizabeth is often the start or finish point of a Garden Route tour. In our case, it was the end and we simply saw some of the sights from our coach on the way to the airport.

Port Elizabeth is South Africa's third largest port. It has good beaches and several museums. Its past British influence, and present cosmopolitan population can be seen in the pictures below.
