Upton Castle Gardens

Upton Castle is near Cosheston, next to one of the inlets of the Cleddau River. It is a private residence so is not open to the public. However, the 37 acres of grounds are available to walk around. These include an interesting collection of exotic trees, a formally laid out series of gardens, a chapel and a lovely woodland walk that ends in a view of mud flats and reed beds (there is a seat strategically placed to enjoy the view). Near the entrance, and close to the car park, is a picnic area laid out with benches.

HOW TO GET THERE

Take the A477 (between Milton and Pembroke) and turn north towards Cosheston. Follow the signs to Upton.
