Located
just a few miles off the Pembrokeshire coast, Caldey Island is a blissfully
peaceful place with almost no motor vehicles and a very low population.
The boat ride from Tenby takes about 45 minutes. Caldey is famous for
its monastry which may be toured (women are not permitted in the monastry),
and a shop selling perfume made by the monks. At the centre of the small
village is a green with a cafe.
