An
historic town on the River Cleddau, dominated by its castle. Have a pleasant
stroll along the Pembroke River (a continuation of the massive Milford
Haven waterway), then climb to Main Street to browse the many interesting
shops, and then back to the castle itself.
The Museum of the Home is housed in an old building opposite the castle
and is crammed full of things that were in local houses during the last
few centuries.
An annual raft race is held on the 'pond' below the castle.
It is possible to park close to Main Street, especially out of the holiday
season, but there is plenty of parking space just below the town on the
one-way system.
