Eating out in Haverfordwest

There are several eating places in and around Haverfordwest, especially close to the river. A Wimpy bar caters for fast food fans.

Riverside Market

Restaurant in the Riverside Market, Haverfordwest
The cafe within the indoor market overlooks the river and the food is inexpensive; service is very much with a smile.

Fishguard Arms

The Fishguard Arms, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire
This pub situated on Old Bridge Street next to the river (but without river views!) has a pleasant restaurant on two floors serving the usual pub fare, but very well cooked and presented. Note that we found the Fishguard Arms closed on a Sunday [Sunday closing, for religious reasons, in parts of south-west Wales is something that can surprise the unwary].

The Victorian Conservatory

The Victorian Conservatory Tea Rooms, near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire
At Simpson's Cross, on the St David's road out of Haverfordwest, the Victorian Conservatory Tea Rooms are housed in, well, a victorian-style conservatory, and set in pleasant gardens. Cream Teas and Sunday Lunches are a speciality. We had good food and friendly service when we visited. It is especially handy if you want to visit the Motor Museum just across the road
