Whether you want to catch a boat to the Island of Skomer or just want an interesting beach, Martin's Haven is the place to visit. On the day we visited, adult and baby seals were basking on the beach. It is a tiny bay, located on the Dale Peninsular, with a small beach, cliff walks and wonderful views across St Bride's Bay towards St David's. Facilities include toilets and a gift shop (good quality but expensive). Parking is about 500m away in a National Trust car park. The walk from car park to and from the beach is a little steep, but all on a road so is suitable for most people including those with many types of disability.
HOW TO GET THERETake the B4327 from Haverfordwest towards Dale. Turn off for Marloes, go through the village then turn left for Martin's Haven. Do not attempt to drive onto the beach - use the car park. More about the Dale peninsular
