The best beaches

Pembrokeshire beachesPembrokeshire has many sandy beaches and a clear blue sea.

Because of the geology of the county, every beach is quite different. In the space of a few miles you can find dunes, spectacular rock formations, gently sloping sands, steeply shelving shingle and rock caves. Most beaches are easily accessible, whilst some require walking and climbing.

There are beaches for sunbathing, beaches for surfing and beaches for paddling and swimming. Several beaches have slipways for launching small boats. And Pembrokeshire's beaches regularly win awards for being amongst the cleanest in Britain (see links on the right).
