Broad Haven

Situated on the West coast, less than 10km from Haverfordwest, is this out-of the way beach. We visited out of season on a very windy day as these pictures show.

Parking is behind the promenade, and it takes a while to drive the tortuous signposted route. However, once you have parked, the walk from the car park to the sea is quite short.

There are several small hotels and a sea-front shop sells provisions, ice-creams and newspapers.

NOTE: Do not confuse this beach with Broad Haven near Pembroke, sometimes called Broad Haven (south).

Broad Haven beach
Broad Haven has a large and flat sandy beach. It is popular with watersports enthusiasts. This late autumn scene does not do it justice!

HOW TO GET THERE

Take the B4341 from Haverfordwest.
