Jordan
The most common word the visitor hears in Jordan is "Welcome". Everyone seems friendly and keen to see tourists enjoy the beauty of this uniquely peaceful middle eastern country. Jordan has Israel and the Palestine Authority to the West, Saudia Arabia to the South, Iraq to the East and Syria to the West. It is mainly desert, and most of the population live in a handful of cities on the high ground and in the Jordan Valley. The capital is Amman and the only sea port is Aqaba. This small country offers stunning mountain and desert scenery, the vast and amazing ancient city of Petra, many religious sites, Aqaba on the Red Sea, and the lowest point on Earth. By using the links at the top of this page, this site will help you get the most out of a trip to Jordan. It is based on our own fantastic holiday, which we took with Saga.
