The Nile: Temple of Kom Ombo

Located on a bend on the Nile, in a sugar-farming area, this temple is dedicated to two gods. One is the crocodile god Sobek - there is an ancient mummified crocodile there - and the other is Horus the Elder (not the hawk-headed Horus).

We arrived at sunset which produced a magical effect as the temple was illuminated by both the Sun and its own lighting.
